🔐 Single Sign-On (SSO) Setup for BuzzBID

Enable secure access to BuzzBID using your company’s identity provider with SAML 2.0 Single Sign-On (SSO).

🚀 Overview

Setting up SSO with BuzzBID is a simple 3-part process:

🟦 BuzzBID creates your connection
🟩 Your IT team configures your identity provider
🟨 BuzzBID completes and activates SSO

🔄 How the Setup Works

Overview:

Request → Configure → Connect → Test → Go Live
 

Detailed Flow: 

  1. You request SSO setup
  2. BuzzBID creates your SSO connection (Auth0)
  3. We send your SAML configuration (SP details)
  4. Your IT team configures your Identity Provider
  5. You send us your IdP configuration
  6. We finalize setup and enable SSO
 

🧾 Step 1: Request SSO Setup

Send BuzzBID:

  • Company name (exact spelling)
  • OR preferred abbreviation

⚠️ This becomes your unique SSO identifier.

📤 Step 2: Receive BuzzBID Configuration

We will provide your IT team with:

🔹 Entity ID

  • urn:auth0:{company-name}

🔹 Reply URL (ACS URL) 

  • https://auth0.buzzbid.com/login/callback?connection={company-name} 

🔹 SP Metadata XML (optional)

  • Available upon request

💡 These values are entered into your identity provider.

🛠 Step 3: Configure Your Identity Provider

Your IT team will:

  • Create a SAML 2.0 application
  • Enter the BuzzBID values above
  • Configure standard authentication settings

📥 Step 4: Send Your IdP Details to BuzzBID

✅ Required

  • SSO URL (Login URL / SAML Endpoint)
  • IdP Entity ID
  • X.509 Certificate

⭐ Recommended

  • IdP Metadata XML

💡 This is the fastest and most reliable method.

⚙️ Step 5: BuzzBID Completes Setup

BuzzBID will:

  • Configure your connection in Auth0
  • Validate SSO
  • Notify you when ready

🧪 Step 6: Test Before Launch

You will test with a small group to verify:

  • Login works
  • User identity is correct
  • Access behaves as expected
